Smoke Alarm Maintenance Contract for 5000 Homes
This project was required to ensure all smoke alarms were operating correctly and posed no risks to our client’s tenants.

This project required detailed logistics to contact and organize appointments with each of the 5000 householders.

Our client service team worked from 7.30am to 4pm over a period of four months scheduling and rescheduling appointments to fit in with householder’s commitments.

With careful route planning our teams of electricians were able to service a large number of clients every day and the project was completed on schedule.
Switchboards upgrades to 500 homes
Many of our client’s properties contained switchboards that did not comply with new safety regulations as they did not have a residual current device.

This matter was urgent and required a minimum of two hours on site for each job.

After a detailed review of all occupational health and safety issues, a plan was developed for changing over the switchboards and the project was completed in record time.
Rewiring of 2 large blocks of units and 100s of individual houses
Many older buildings in Sydney still contain vulcanized Indian rubber (VIR) wiring which does not meet current standards.

Over the years AJS has worked extensively with our clients to develop safe methods and systems for removing and replacing this outdated wiring.
Install 150 Under Awning Lights
This project was required to illuminate a dark area and improve the safety of the area for business tenants, pedestrians and drivers.

This job was carried out during business hours and it was important to minimize disruption to traffic at this busy intersection.

High level coordination and planning were critical to the success of this project as there was work carried out at 150 locations including business premises, footpaths, streets and car parks.

AJS liaised with all authorities involved including the RTA, structural engineers and Rockdale Council to ensure safe practises were carried out.

AJS scheduled extra work teams for the project and the job was successfully completed over six weeks with no disruption to local business or traffic
